Co-Founder, Inventor
Dr. Schiffman is internationally known for his seminal research in TMJ disorders. He is one of the foremost experts in diagnosis and treatment of this second most common musculoskeletal disorder complaint (after the back). At the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry for 35 years, he spent 33 years in the Division of TMD and Orofacial Pain teaching more than 100 residents, publishing 68 manuscripts, and receiving $19M in NIH funding. He is currently director of the university's Oral Health Clinical Research Center mentoring emerging faculty on research proposals and grant writing.

Karen Kloser co-founded The Restful Jaw Company in 2011 and has been managing the enterprise ever since. Starting with the commercialization of the first version of the external jaw support device, she was involved from prototype to production, branding to marketing, and finance to funding. She has more than 25 years of industry experience in PR and marketing in the services and manufacturing sectors.
